DST Intec visits Steinemann Disinfection in Flawil

Steinemann Disinfection had visitors! The Chinese representative came to Switzerland for a meeting. Intensive discussions were held about the current market situation in China in the field of cold fogging, the coming year 2025, and the current development status in the design of the third generation of CleanCube devices.

A site visit was also part of the program to show the DST Intec team the premises.

It was a successful day together with the DST Intec team. The planned discussion points were discussed and common goals for the new year were addressed.

Steinemann Disinfection is delighted to have been working with DST Intec for almost four years and to enrich the Chinese market in the field of cold fogging. Steinemann Disinfection is also looking forward to continuing its collaboration with its Chinese partner and the exciting, future-oriented projects.

Starting signal for a new era of CleanCube devices – „Stay Tuned“

Developments in the field of room air disinfection are constantly changing. The trip to Asia in October 2023 enabled Steinemann Disinfection to gather valuable information about the options available on the Chinese market that will also be popular in Europe. Now it is time for the next step. Together with a Swiss engineering firm, Steinemann Disinfection is starting the development phase for the third generation of the CleanCube product family. The aim is to continue to establish the CleanCube product family as a showcase model that is not just limited to design, but also wants to further shine with technical progress.

Steinemann Disinfection visits China

Steinemann Disinfection visited its sales partner DST Intec in China from October 24th to 31st, 2023 and had the opportunity to take part in various events. A visit to the China International Medical Equipment Fair in Shenzen (pictures on the right) was also on the agenda.  

The site of our sales partner DST Intec was visited, as well as customers from the greater Shanghai and Suzhou area. This enabled Steinemann Disinfection to exchange ideas with users of the CleanCube product range and to see their areas of application in person and in action.

A special highlight was the participation in a symposium (picture in the middle), where current developments and innovative solutions in the field of room air disinfection were discussed. This event offered the opportunity to make valuable and new contacts.  

The trip to China was a great success for Steinemann Disinfection and helped to strengthen international relations and further expand expertise in the field of indoor air disinfection.

New Swiss manufacturer of the CleanCube product family

In autumn 2022, Steinemann Disinfection chose HORELEC GmbH as the new manufacturer of the CleanCube devices. HORELEC is characterized by its broad corporate portfolio, with core competencies in software and hardware development, as well as individual support for optimal prototype and product development. HORELEC also impresses with innovation and quality.

Cleaning Bus Fleet Arosa 

In the winter health resort of Arosa in the Grisons Alps, the regular bus, school bus and airport transfer service has been operated by Pfosi Arosa Bus AG for 45 years. The vehicles are regularly disinfected using CleanCube fogging devices from Steinemann Disinfection Flawil. This ensures virus-free operation and protects local guests and tourists accordingly.

VZO cleaning

Since spring 2020, VZO, a regional Swiss transport company, has been decontaminating its entire bus fleet (more than 100 buses) every night while it stops in the depot with our CleanCube Classic and Pro devices. VZO is extremely satisfied with the cooperation with Steinemann Disinfection.

Ibis Stegna Recreation Center, Poland

The Ibis recreation center in Stegna has been operating on the tourist market since 1993. The complex includes swimming pools, tennis courts, a kindergarten, a restaurant and holiday homes. The resort purchased CleanCube Mini devices to decontaminate the rooms after each stay of their guests in order to ensure high health and safety standards for them and their employees.

Children's Memorial Health Institute

The Children's Memorial Health Institute is one of the largest children's hospitals in Poland and treats the most serious cases of illness in the country. The institution is both a scientific institute directly subordinate to the Ministry of Health and a highly specialized hospital. The hospital is also one of the largest children's organ transplant centers in the world and the only facility of its kind in Poland.

During the global COVID-19 pandemic, Children's Memorial Health Institute began purchasing two CleanCube Mini devices to disinfect its facilities to ensure health safety for its patients, visitors and staff. The devices are now being used regularly to disinfect the emergency department, operating rooms and hallways, and more CleanCube devices will soon be used to expand disinfection to other areas of the facility to eliminate viruses and bacteria.

Military hospital in Athens, Greece

The military hospital of Greece «401 General Military Hospital» in Athens is the largest in the country with a staff of 1,000 employees and a capacity of 550 beds.

In cooperation with our partner in Greece «A. Dervos», the hospital installed several CleanCube Classic units in the operating rooms in May 2020. The hospital team uses the units primarily in the event of suspected or confirmed COVID-19 cases at the entrances to the more than 10 operating rooms.

The Steinemann disinfection system has once again proven to be very efficient and easy to use. The highly qualified General Military Hospital of Athens is very satisfied with the use of the CleanCubes and their effectiveness in inactivating microorganisms in high-risk environments.

Caritas in Opole, Poland

Caritas is the largest charity organization in Poland, whose history dates back to the 1920s. The organization helps people in need at home and abroad.

Caritas' activities in Poland focus on providing food aid to those in need, as well as immediate and emergency aid to families who have lost their homes and all their belongings due to natural disasters. The organization runs more than 1,000 specialized facilities across the country, including homeless shelters, homes for single mothers with children, soup kitchens for the needy, and hospices.

During COVID-19, the organization's main focus was to help poor and lonely elderly people by providing food, hygiene and protective products, and support with activities that require leaving the house, such as buying medicine. Since volunteers and medical assistants often help transport vulnerable elderly and sick people, the organization purchased four CleanCube Mini to disinfect cars and vans after each trip to minimize the risk of contamination of volunteers, staff and patients. 

Caritas is now considering the possibility of extending the use of CleanCube devices to care facilities in order to eliminate the risk of infections and bacteria there too.

Nursing homes in northern Italy

The CleanCube Classic disinfection devices are used in one of the most important nursing homes in Northern Italy.

The Istituto Palazzolo nursing home in Bergamo has three different facilities. The management has never set up a disinfection system and decided to equip itself with three CleanCube Classic. The CleanCube Classic devices are designed to destroy not only COVID-19, but also all types of bacteria, fungi, spores and viral contamination.

Given the size of the three facilities, many rooms need to be treated and the devices are used in rotation with the "standard" protocol. In addition to this regular treatment, the devices are used in a targeted manner whenever there is any type of contagion, disinfecting the patient's room and all the rooms through which the patient may have passed. Recently, a COVID-19 infection occurred in the kitchen of the Cantello facility and consequently all the rooms were treated in depth with the CleanCube system.

Given the success of the CleanCube devices, the institution is considering increasing the number of CleanCubes and the frequency of treatments.

Radom Police Headquarters, Poland

After an outbreak of COVID-19 infections at the Radom Police Headquarters, which caused great concern among the population, the institution decided to purchase six CleanCube Mini. The police use them in the headquarters offices and also in all police vehicles. The rooms, corridors and common areas in the main building are disinfected at least once a week overnight, or when necessary. In addition, CleanCubes are used to disinfect police vehicles used to transport inmates and prisoners who may be infected with COVID-19.

The authorities are extremely satisfied with the results achieved and plan to expand the use of CleanCubes to other facilities.

Solidarity and cooperation in Croatia in the fight against Covid-19

Thanks to the introduction of CleanCube devices in April 2020, the specialized disinfection team of Našice Health Center, together with the staff of the General District Hospital, trained and fully equipped, was able to efficiently combat a comprehensive decontamination of all indoor air and surfaces contaminated with microorganisms, including the Covid-19 virus.

After the discovery of the Covid-19 virus outbreak on May 1, 2020 in Koška and subsequent consistent monitoring, the Našice “rescue team” reacted immediately with effective disinfection in all rooms, including the surgery.

The Našice District General Hospital is now the hospital specialized in Covid-19. The fully equipped decontamination team works successfully with CleanCube 3D disinfection for health safety in the community.

Case study CleanCube Classic at the 424 Military Hospital of Thessaloniki

The 424 Military Hospital of Thessaloniki is one of the most modern and best equipped hospitals in northern Greece.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, it was one of the first hospitals in the fight against the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2).
To ensure a safe environment for medical staff, nursing staff and patients, the hospital decided to use CleanCube disinfection systems from Steinemann Disinfection.
Starting in October 2020, the hospital delivered several CleanCube Classic devices to their COVID-19 clinic and ambulances.
Especially in the case of ambulances, the highly qualified CleanCube operators found that the damage to the metal parts of the cabin equipment, which had occurred when using common disinfectants (chlorine, ozone, etc.), could be stopped.
The use of CleanCubes together with CleanLine disinfectant has now become a daily routine and all hospital staff feel safe in their daily fight against new infections.

CleanCube in a leading COVID-19 vaccine manufacturing company

In March 2020, our distribution partner in China, Bioni Technology, delivered CleanCubes Pro to the China National Biotech Group (CNBG) in Beijing. The CleanCubes are used in both R&D and production.

CNBG is the world's first large-scale COVID-19 vaccine production facility. They have already received approval from the central government to begin Phase II clinical trials (testing the vaccine on hundreds of patients).

Safe Commuting Despite the Corona Virus

We are currently experiencing the largest global pandemic of our generation. SARS-CoV-2 clearly shows us the dangers posed by viruses and bacteria. Public transport companies such as Verkehrsbetriebe Zürichsee und Oberland AG (VZO) are particularly challenged to implement the constantly changing hygiene regulations. The challenge is to destroy all viruses and bacteria without damaging the interior and leaving no residue. The new hygiene measures should also be easy to integrate into the existing cleaning process.

With the CleanCube from Steinemann Disinfection, a solution was found for the 98 buses of the VZO that meets all requirements. The CleanCube is a cold nebulizer that uses a vortex nozzle to evenly swirl the CleanLine disinfectant with high air movement throughout the entire interior of the vehicle. The hydrogen peroxide-based CleanLine disinfectant breaks down into water and oxygen after disinfection and is harmless to the materials used in the interior. Due to the high level of automation of the CleanCube, the entire disinfection is carried out autonomously at the push of a button, so there is hardly any additional work in the previous cleaning process.
